This project is exremely close to visions I've had for a long time. I am a permaculturist, musician, and spiritual type that has no doubt that the signals are in front of us.
I will be watching this project with special interest and I am very very keen on networking between the many similar communities and projects while the infrastructure still exists to do so - that we may all learn and share the unity of vision coming to light.
I am not necessarily planning to come to Central America specifically, but there is much happening there that I wish to keep a close eye on. I have other contacts in the region. I am working with a group to try to stop the development of a place in Panama called the redfrogbeachclub at Bocas Del Toro on the East Coast of Panama. It was a sustainable project doing permaculture and yoga and got sold out. They now plan 1000 buildings and golf course there. If anyone has any useful contacts then please investigate to plug into that.
With all that said- keep up the networking and I hope sincerely that this community (HOME) can be a good example of sustainable development in a community setting. If the community is in need of members with specific skills and such I hope to be of help if I can, this seems to have been part of my role in this time - to help network and funnel light places it can flourish and grow to root it here increasingly.
ok enough for now. I get excited sometimes =)
Peace -
Pedro.

Re: Greetings, I am interested in this too...
Mon, July 18, 2005 - 12:51 PMI relate with your energy Pedro... I often find myself apolagizing for my excitement and entheuisam... Do you have some insights on free energy... we are going to be doing a hydo electic system in the middle of 150 acres of virgin rainforest.... I hope that you find a calling down near the equator at least to feel the land and see the potiential vision, because I know that your energy would serve to create the Most High Vison of 'Heaven'... Stay in touch and ask that place deep inside when would be a good time to come HOME...

Tue, July 19, 2005 - 10:59 AMNamaste a usted tambien
yes yes the land looks like its very much lends itself to hydro and solar combinations for energy. You need a minimum of about 100 vertical feet run for a decent hydro generator, which doesn't look like a problem there. Just a matter of designing the system so that there is minimal disturbance to the ecosystems. All the water is returned of course so thats not a problem, but the pipes have to be arranged to maximize the flow pressure at the wheel at the bottom of the run. A shed will be needed somewhere near the bottom also to house storage and possibly batteries and other equipment. The battery house needs to be close enough to not lose energy from the wire run.
My good friend the engineer, whom has been working on a few projects in Panama and Costa Rica with energy and water systems may be a good contact for you. He is in transition as well at this point so I will see what he is up to.
I do intend to keep in touch and would absolutely love to feel the land there. She does call me every day. We shall see how it all comes together.
Peace and Bliss -
Pedro.
