HOME update: we have leagl Turust!

After an emotional rollercoster and many difficulties, in the face of the whole dream sinking into the abyss where dreams go, We Did It!!!
Yesterday the farm was signed into leagl Trust, actually the first Community Land Trust that has ever been created in costa rica...
we can now move forward with the vision and begin the process of finding others who resonate and synergize the work, vision and people who are already here commited to the vision we are holding... And what is that vision? to build a place where the quality of life is what our priority is... A place where people are commitment to uplifting their personal vibrations using yoga, meditation, working with the earth, practicing right liveleyhood, Non Violent Communication and actively resolving any conflicts... And when our work is done and the vibe is high then we will spend any leftover energy dancing, singing and playing in waterfalls... So if this sounds good and you want to be part of the upcoming intensives as we learn how to bring others into this vision, then write me...

Please help- Need to find community in Costa Rica ASAP!!!

Greetings! I have been contemplating and feeling a call from Costa Rica for years now. It was not until three months ago when I conceived my first baby that I felt the intense fire to respond to the calling. I am now a single young, pregnant lady who wishes to thrive in an environment that is supportive of nurturing oneself and others. I have experience and a gift for working with plants and children as well as movement and other creative endevours that are not as developed as the first mentioned. I have studied herbalism and children's yoga and recently ended a job teaching after school to K-5th grades. I was teaching 8 different classes consisting of cooking, chess, mask making, art, drama, rhythm and dance, likable recyclables and stitchin'. I am hoping to meet a community or individuals to share with or join. Ideally I will find a spot close to the ocean and ecologically minded, where parents and children live close together supporting each other. A community/ group of supportive people is no longer a simple desire, but a necessity as I am now pregnant and single. I could work in a garden, with an herbalist, as a teacher or in various other positions. I have never been to Costa Rica and am not sure where to begin searching for a new home beyond seeking community. Any information applicable to a potential community to join, a job to work, a place to live, etc. is greatly appreciated. Thank you and many blessings.

Earth Friendly Self-Sustaining Economic Communities

It has taken me 12 years to put words to my vision, yet it barely gives the briefist of glimpses of what i mean by those words.
If you can live off the land and have it provide what you need, then your only challange is buying land.
And unless you have been part of a tight-knit community for better then 10 years, you only have a vauge idea of what one is. And what the future generations will do. We could create a utopia and the children wouldnt see it that way unless we could show them the other side of things as well.

now on to the dream

Land isnt that hard to aquire for grps of people working together. Neither is building earthen houses, building and maintaining farms. (a 5 acre hand worked, chicken poop/compost fed organic farm will produce more food then a tracktor can on 20-30 acres) With house, food and land out of the way, .what else do you need in life. Music, laughter and...
The right tool for your hand; sewing, woodworking tools, mechanic tools, doctors tools, ect......
And if everyone does what they do best for the benifit of themselves and their community, and join in when things need to be done (building homes, planting, harvest...ect..), there would be no need for barter or trade, while maintaining a lifestyle of abundance.

now to the hard part

This type of community can easily be done away from society and the world at large, but it helps the situation almost none at all, except for those who are doing it, And
the small patch of dirt they are protecting.
So how to make it a vital part of normal society so everyone who wants too can see it., touch it, smell it, feel it, ponder on it, love it, and want it.
I think the trick is to provide more then your community needs, and provide for free our services to each other. Easily done, .then sell everything else to outlanders. To catch their attention, make them food and sell them all the services we provide....basicly takeing the part of the land closeist to socitiy and building a town to sell what your community provides (soup kitchen, grocery store of stuff you make and grow, mechanic shop, brewery, wood crafts, clothes, doctors office, ect and anything). All the sudden we dont spend money other to buy things we dont make, pay our taxes, and trips/traveling, and we start takeing all the other money we make to buy more land. Tis land is all we need, and we want to protect it for future generations.

I think the best solution for buying land is to put it in a land trust, so no-one owns it, but everyone with good intentions can use it, there are ways to set up land trusts with restrictions( such as only 10% can be cleared of woods for the use of houseing, farming, recreational, ect) and if not one entity owns it, it is almost impossible to take away through the court of law. People want change, it just isnt convienient yet. I think this plan can make it convienient. Just think of all the rainbows, and every other gatherings of the people. Most dont have a way or a means to make what they want to come true (I am trying to find an easy way to create funds, or means for people to buy land. Run any ideas by me, getting closer, but not everyone can do it the way i've divised).....And if you could show them how, they would frikkin explode with good intent, setting these up next to every existing town, city, and out in the beautiful mountains...we could be a huge source of better foods, items, services, all of whitch are hand made, not harming the earth!

Now back to tight knit community. If you arnt a part of one, this might be hard to digest. There Should Be No Hierarchy. People have 2 different respects; #1 you command your personal respect in your community though your actions and/or lack of actions, and if you do your best as much as you can, and how honest (Impeccable) you are, #2 the way you respect others. And through those you make yourself part of a community. There is hierarchy everywhere you look, why in the world would you want one here? Communities take care of each other, know each other's Gifts and Downfalls, we deal with things we dont like, and we defend each other when things go wrong, we encourage and support, have meetings where everyone has a say. But if you command low respect in the community through your actions, your words dont have much weight. There will always be persons who are natural leaders, and/or authority figures. But the difference is that they can not force people to do what they say. If you read leadership books, they say., "to be a leader you must give yourself to the people, the people must buy into you and your ideas, or they will not follow. Through love, encouragement, empowerment, and never breaking their trust, you can lead people to greatness.". So there is no need of Hierarachy, for communities can take care of problems. And hierarchy just leads to coruption, control and greed. Where natural leaders, and natural authority figures will keep the momentum up, find solutions, and be a part of the peoples. They dont need a title, they dont even need to be named. We know who they are, or will soon learn...

Creating a tight knit community doesnt happen over nite.
It takes time. It's being raised with, and by people. Then helping raise the future generations. It happens when a 24 year old, 38 year old, 56 year old, and an 90 year old can say to each other.....Thanx for always being there for me....

Yes i do see some problems with this plan. Life can-not be contained, and you never know what can happen. But I have not seen, heard, read, been intoduced to a conceipt that might actually have a dramadic change of possitive growth and insperation to live better then we are.

The Fluid Lively Chaotic Plan

If we could set up thousends of these, they would know about us. Provide the masses with earth-friendly resources, and they would aprove of us. Even if we do what we love, are happy, and free.............For example.....If someone were to put one soler panel on every building in america, we would have more power then we could possibly use. So you set of green power for the communities, more then we need and feed the rest into the grid. All the sudden the power company makes free money off us, but the best part is, that the more we do, the better the world will get, by not depending on the greedy men who's money depends on oil and control.(I like examples, cause i dont want to control, or hamper the ideas that can make this happen)
And as for the splash, have you ever seen 100,000 people working in one direction, with a common purpose, that helps them, and the world at large? That would be more then a ripple, more like a tidal wave, and the possiblitys are endless fo what they could do. And thats what im looking for, 100 thousand people, or more, to inspire, encourage, plan, and act upon a course of action.
Anyone who has a means of provideing land and/or aquireing it, need to connect with people who can work the land (for example, those who are good at aqureing funds, provide, those who Build, provide, everyone has something to contribute...provide....for if we all provide what we have to offer, that=abundance....... )
Only thing thats hampering this way of life, is the illusion that if you donate your life to the betterment of this world, that you take away from yourself. Give yourself away to a lover, a pet, a dream, a family, a friend, work you love, a wonderful cause. How could those take away from your life? Look at your past. Can you say you have given yourself the world, and given yourself to the world? I have spent 10 years of my life (out of 24) working, trying to provide the things i need and want. But working for companies, I give my years to them. For what? Bio survival tickets. Does that take away from you? Can you give your kid all the attention you want, spend as much time with loved ones as you want too, do you feel inspired working the way you do? Do you get to express yourself truely, every day, by giving yourself to the world, and giveing yourself the world? If you walk around today and put a smile on everyone's face, dont you think someone would put a smile on your face tomorrow?: If everyone who wants this kind of dream, gave ourselves to this kind of dream, and gave our dreams to the world.....would we not be in the company of friends, be able to have our children with us at work, and find time to give them among our day. Be able to give yourself to your lover, for he or she could be there with you. Able to sing, play music, dance, upon a thought or whim, take a walk, take a break/nap at the time you perfer....
When i give my time away freely to my friends, lovers, teaching kids, makeing someone smile and laugh, romping with the dog, playing music for those to enjoy it, makeing something for someone to use, inspireing others, encourageing others, helping others. All give myself the only thing i have ever needed. Blissfull satifaction to live in such a wonderful world.

I cant change people, nor would i want too, but i will encourage them to be the best they can be, encourage them to fight for their dreams, and they might change themselves to become the best they can be

I dont care how it happens. I dont care if every community is set up completely different to reflect the people who want to live there...
I Just Want To Help Build It........
I am a builder....and would rather build our dreams for nothing other then food and good company.....

I have been studying Real Estate Investing for 6 years now. And investing can make many people wealthy. What is investing anyway? Take an idea, find people who believe in you and your idea, and use those peoples resources to benifit everyone who invested in you. As long as you dont let them down, they will invest more and more and more, again and again and again....
I was going to use this knowlage to build my fortune from, then realized that my fortune was my dream! And if I died without a penny to my name, as long as i could build dreams, it would all be worth it.....
I Give Myself and All I Have To Offer, to this Legend of freedom, love, happyness, abundance, insperations, encouragement, cherishment of the planet, becomeing the best you can be, and ACTION

Lets Unite/Synchronise to Anchor Pillars of Heaven On Earth

Hello beautiful souls,.Namaste,,I invite everyone here to anchor a pillar of light with me on February 24th,.at 8:08pm ET (feb2+2+4=8). I belief in the power of the collective. If we all meditate at the same time, anchor ourselves in the Earths Starry Core and beam ourselves to the highest dimensions we can reach and bring down that light through our bodies and into the core of the Earth, we can have a significantly beneficial impact on the Energy Grid of Mother Earth and the Collective Human Consciousness. Please do this anyway you prefer. There are many ways to climb up to through the dimensions, I find the merkaba the most effective but if you simply connect to your I AM Presence (in your chest), ground yourself, invoke your guides, angels, et's of light and the ascended masters plane, then visualize a little version of you standing in your pineal gland on a glowing lotus, connect a string from the top of your head your head all the way up to the Infinite source of All that Is and visualize yourself on the lotus shooting up the string as high as you can and into the Great Galactic Sun, bathe in the Awesome Light for a few minutes and then bring it down with you all the way to the Earths core,, this will anchor a massive pillar of light,, visualize it coming down and sinking deep into the earth,, shinny, pearly and radiant white. You can also speak to the dimensions themselves and ask them to anchor into our planet and help heal and raise our frequencies,., they cannot help with out our asking (law of free will).. Please tell your friends,, the more the better,,, ideally this is done in a clean sacred place with a group of people holding hands in a circle,, Om'ing together helps to tune in with each other,.,but this can be done anywhere and by yourself,., please reply if you intend on participating, thank you all very much,., Love and Bliss., AUM.

Some vision of where the farm is heading...

Here are some details about where we are heading with our infastructure and community endevors...

The HOME Farm (San Salvadore)
The HOME Farm is a retreat center that is co-operatively owned and run by
community residents. The facilities planned include:
• 12-18 Bungalows housing 1-4 people each
• 1-2 Dorms, housing 8-12 people each
• 3-5 Spaces used for various purposes, classrooms, dancing yoga, meetings, etc…
• 5-10 Residential Family Dwellings
• 1 Caretaker house
• A guest communal kitchen and showers
• Resident Kitchen / Office Meeting Space
• 2-3 Garages and Bodegas used for building purposes: wood storage, tool storage,
maintenance, etc.
Staff/Community Members and Families
The people occupy homes on the Farm with full kitchens and private bathrooms. There is
at least one family member per house who is an active and integral part of making sure
the farm is running on all dimensions it needs to…
• Financial
• Conflict Resolution
• Maintenance
• Marketing
• Sustainability
• Food Production,
• Etc.
5-10 Families depending on how much land we have and how many we can support
sustainably.
The important positions that need to be filled are:
• General Manager and Developer: oversees all departments and works where most
needed…
• Land Keeper and Teacher: overseas gardens, orchards, roads and teaches the skills of
caring for the health and welfare of the land
• Marketing and Personnel: manages internet correspondence, marketing and
reservations. Handles orientation and guest services. (May be two people)
• Animal person: Tends animals and aqua-culture (fish)
• Kitchen Manager: All things kitchen oriented: food ordering, organizing, preparation
and cleanup.
• Office Manager: Keeps books and assists marketing person
Our business plan is a plan to achieve our goals like:
• Simple Living (sharing of resources and skills for the betterment of all)
• Financial Sustainability (includes all aspects: maintenance, future development)
• Able to live comfortably with basic needs met.
• The business plan also allows us to share our projected vision before it is done, thus
allowing us to get others to join a tangible effort.

just thought id give little solstice update ,so life on the farm is beautiful and hills are alive with sounds of music.we are curently hosting some youth groups from the states fo the next six weeks we are also still devolping inferstucture ,trails and bathin areas,and palnting plenty of plants and trees,i hopefully will get to build a proper nursery this year,oh and we also have wonderfull painter staying with us and he is painting a beautifl mirelle,wich if you want tooo see it youl just have to come visit...soon ...joyus is away and has left benji and laura to play,with bunch ticos in the compo,its beautifully challengeing ,and full of jewls of truth,some times they just need a little polishing...lot0love love and happpy solstice(the longest day of the year ,wich here in costa is only about 10 or 15 minutes more day light)infinite graditude to sun,and all that bask in its light......benji

GREETING AGAIN!

By the pictures, The HOME project is really churning it out lately! It is beautiful to watch the progress develop. It looks like such a beautiful place, and I could almost taste the thick air. My plans had originally been to hit costa rica come fall, Hug your tree, play in the waters, learn and help build paradise in paradise! I had been saving everything hoping to get there, the sooner the better.

My last little excursion before leaving the country made me fall into a rough spot. I had just finished a 6 week long work project in California (think Nor Cal, medicinal harvest) and was planning on returning home to buy a plane ticket outta dodge after a trip down the coast. In San Diego I had a run in with some less than desirable people, and was robbed. The job in Nor Cal paid in cash, as all immigrant farm work of that nature does, and so I had no choice but to transport the money with me home. Well needless to say, i was robbed of over $4000 cash, and the immediate gratification of Costa Rican paradise.

So I start the savings process over. As soon as im able to procure it there is nothing else i am so intent on accomplishing. Now was not the time, aparently... but dreams and goals arent always easy! Farm work in cali is the easiest and quickest way, but I do not want to HAVE to wait until after next October, a whole year later than expected.

So we will see where the river takes me, never paddling against the current, and always happy for every oppourtunity that is presented to me.

self-sufficiency oriented family visiting CR in January

Hello, I found your website through the Intentional Communities website. I am writing b/c my family and I will be in CR Jan 12-28, and are inerested in visiting your community and the surrounding area, if possible.
A little background about us: we began our quest towards self-sufficiency five years ago. Since then, we have read a tremendous number of books and played with the knowledge hands on a great deal. While we are always improving our techniques, we have become quite proficient in gardening, dairying, working with small animals, sewing, carpentry, woodcraft, etc etc (I've listed the collective skills of both my husband and I). We are now ready to move to a more permanent location to set up our long term homestead, where we plan to be totally off grid, use alternative building techniques (probably earth bag construction), and be as generally self sufficient as possible. While we are still unsure of where that location will be, CR is looking better and better. Our location will have to have a good water source and decent soil, and will need to be very close to an extensive area of woodland reserve, as we are avid nature lovers and spend a great deal of our time hiking, backpacking, etc. (of course farm work comes first :) We are strongly considering leaving the states for many reasons, but mainly the political climate here. We would like to visit your community because it is extremely important to us to be near a group of likeminded, consciously aware people, preferrably with children, as this is the type of enviroment we want out children to grow up around (we currently have a 1yr old son and plan to have at least one more child). We are not at this point seriously interested in actually joining an intentional community (although this could change if the circumstances were just right) but would like to live very nearby to one where we are comfortable with the people.

We will be backpacking and traveling by bus and foot, and will have our son. We will not need any lodging if it is not available or affordable, but may be interested in purchasing a meal and/or fresh veggies/fruits/herbs if you have them for sale. Farm Update Aug 06

we hired 5 more carpenters, and three more helpers to get this building project really moving... total now is 16 local men JoyUs and Garey the engeneer working to create homes, temples, and casitas for you all...

our group is meeting and we are working on lots of the details needed to be worked on to susceed in living up to our name, Heaven On Mother Earth...

I would love to hear from anyone who is vibing with this project, we are needing some core people to fill in some needed gaps to live up to our name, so this is a formal invitation HOME....

What does the Tree of Life business look like when it is fully operational?

I prefer to call this “operation” Heaven on Mother Earth (HOME). This is what it means to me. And being fully operational means that it is completely and fully sufficient to benefit all who arrive here to give and receive healing. “Take what is needed and give what you are able.”

The operational purpose of this enterprise for me is to share the gift of abundance that we are given. The love in our hearts isn’t meant there to stay. Love isn’t love ‘til we give it away. This is my need.

What this looks like to me is that these lands are used as a haven to provide a safe place for healing and a community founded on our depth of trust in each other and in spirit. These two dimensions of Trust are linked very clearly in A Course in Miracles.

(I believe, for example, that it is a mistake to believe that the planning process will provide a foundation for our future. I do believe that it may provide yet another opportunity for us each and all to develop trust with each other and in spirit, or not. Every moment always provides such an opportunity.)

My view of what this requires is much more modest than that of most of my colleagues. This is because many of the people who need to be at HOME here will not be able to pay for the privilege; and after all we cannot buy our way into heaven. We can’t work our way into heaven either.

All the great teachers and teachings say that all is provided, nothing is required externally. All that may be required is our acceptance of the abundance that we’ve already been given and learn to give it away. This sort of homecoming and hospitality is an eternal moment in the heart and is available to (and from) each of us at every moment.

What do I want the Tree of Life planning team to accomplish?

What I want the business plan to accomplish is to make clear the ways that we are to “give it away” and to explain in detail how this is to be sustained and expanded over time. To me this is more about how we behave with and support each other in our relationships rather than about housing. (We already have the land, lumber, vinyl and canvas that can shelter many. What are we waiting for? Could not the labor be easily provided by Eduardo?)

In the economic area, I would like the business plan to focus like a laser on the most direct path to self-sufficiency for the community; on supporting the needs of the family, and on protecting the family from community vision binging. My own approach would be to:

stop everything that cannot be supported with current resources
initially undertake only “projects” that will become self-sufficient in the near term

I see no difficulties in borrowing money against the land to fund any projects as long as the plan includes the repayment of the loan and the community demonstrates the levels of surrender and discipline needed to keep our agreements.

About our Wealth

From my very limited perspective, the purposes of money for this enterprise are two-fold: to ensure that the family is well-nourished in every way and to facilitate the distribution of the abundance that we’ve been gifted through John.

The true wealth of our community lay in our connection with the Source and in our relationships with each other: the ways we life, manifest, mirror and celebrate this connection in our experience of each other. We remind each other of our connection to Source though our connection (and its absence) with each other.

Relationship Structures
Heart Circle

The heart circle is the foundation of our experience of each other as community.

(Tenasi has written on this. Please include his write-up.)

A heart circle may be convened by anyone in our community for any reason, and may be joined by anyone. The heart circle has worked well to practice joining with each other and with Source; and in these aspects is a model for all of our structures. The heart circle has not worked as well for making decisions.

Integrity Circles

The Integrity Circle is convened by a member of the Budget Council to address any doubts about the conduct of any member of the community or guest. The integrity circle is the primary way that the community supports the resolution of issues that arise in our relationships with one another. A member of the Budget Council designates the people who will sit with the issue. Attendance is mandatory for these individuals and for the individuals involved in the issue. Anyone else who wishes may also attend. Before convening an Integrity Circle, a Budget Council member must have received a written identification of the issue from one of the individuals involved. These identifications may include how one member has been disrespected or disempowered by another, had choices limited by another, or has not kept a community agreement. The Integrity Circle has the authority to make agreements for the community about our conduct with each other in all areas of community life except Budget and Equity.

Budget Council

The Budget Council prepares plans for community operational expenditures and administers those expenditures with the assistance of the office staff. The Budget Council is comprised of staff members and meets weekly. It is joined by invited experts who are asked to assist the council in making its decisions. Others may attend as they wish to submit questions for resolution. Minutes are kept and made public. The Budget Council periodically submits the budget to the community for its advice and consent. The initial membership of the Budget Council is made by the Original Owner with the advice and consent of the community. Thereafter, the membership is maintained by the decision of the council with the advice and consent of the community. All decisions of the Budget Council may be appealed to the Integrity Council.

Equity Council

The Equity Council administers the relationship of our community members to our land, capital, and other tangible assets. The Equity Council has the authority to make agreements for the community on the transfer of equity and the equity value of improvements to community assets. The Equity Council will also establish the value of initial community equity and the number of member shares. The process of the Equity Council is otherwise the same as the Budget Council.

Equity

Our equity is the way that we are clear in our agreements with each other about our rights to and privileges for access and use of our assets. Equity is earned through donations and through labor on behalf of the community and is transferable. Equity is also used when voting on budget issues submitted to the community by the budget council and on equity issues submitted by the equity council. Equity is identified in shares. All equity is transferred (either initially or subsequently) only by written agreements with the member to whom the equity is transferred.

Original or Baseline Equity.

The baseline value of a share of equity is $1000. The original number of shares is established by the value of community assets. A portion of these shares will be awarded to individuals based on their contributions of labor and/or capital to the community.

Donations

Donations amounts for residing in the community (for a weekend, a week, two weeks, a month, two months, etc.) will be established by the Budget Council. Donations amounts for residing in the community on a recurring basis (for a weekend each year, a week each year, etc.) will be established by the Equity Council. The equity shares associate with these recurring rights to the access and use of community assets will also be identified. Donations involving the right to recurring access are transferable.

Development

The value of any asset may be increased by additional investments. Individuals desiring to make such improvements are encouraged to seek the advice and consent of the Equity Council. Only the Equity Council is allowed to increase the number of equity shares associated with an asset.

Equity Appreciation

Ownership of any equity may be transferred with the advice and consent of the Equity Council. Part of any appreciation earned during the stewardship of the asset by a member will be retained by the community to fund the return of initial investments, capital improvement, sweat equity and operational expenses.

Staff

The community is administered by an initially limited (for the purposes of sustainability) number of staff members. Their agreements with the community include residence and sustenance and the monthly transfer of equity. The amount of equity transferred for staff will vary but will never be less than the equity needed to ensure the transferable rights to residence and sustenance in our community within 10 years.

Staff Agreements

Every staff member’s relationship with the community will be clarified in a written Staff Agreement. This agreement includes:

The Responsibilities associated with the Role(s)

The Current Priority Objectives of the Staff Member

The Ways that Residence and Sustenance will be provided by our community

The Ways that other resources needed to undertake the role(s) and responsibilities will be provided

Other Needs of the Staff Member to sustain her relationship with our community

Disclaimers, Conditions and Limitations of the role(s), responsibilities and relationship of this staff member in our community.

These agreements will be approved by both the Budget and Equity Councils.

HOME farm update July 06

Well friends, things are moving along fast on the HOME farm... (still looking for a spanish name, if you can think of one)... We have a full time construction crew building the first temple and bungalo... we are training 5 teenage boys from the village under 3 carpenters and one gringo bamboo master builder, to build with Bamboo... so the crew is pumping... Benji is the worlds happiest tree planter, training his crew of 4 men from ages 12 to 60 to plant trees, plants, flowers and anyting that will grow... he is also in love with the 4 wheeler! He and a local, loco gringo are romping the back roads and loving it... He used to make fun of me when I first got the thing, but i know I will be fighting him for it when I get back from my summer vacation away from Heaven... So the farm is looking sharp and we will be a village before we know it... we are still totally open to people comming to be pillar community members to create HOME in the best way we can... So if you feel the call, please contact me and come for a visit... I suggest a month visit if you are serious, cuz our dynamic is deep and hard to get a handle on through the internet or just a short trip...

There is a new focus happining in our vision of who we want to be... and that vision comes from a few amazing single mothers that have come through and blessed our house and hearts with their love and nurishment... Single mothers have a pressure placed on them so constantly, pressure to be organized, patient, loving and many other qualities that we are all aspiring to bring about in oursleves and the world... Well we at the HOME farm have recognized the stress of this role of being a single parent with no substantial community to support them, and feel the oppertunity to be this support community... we have decided to make this project our focus once our basic infastructure needs are taken care of... as it sits now, we will be building infastructure, housing, gardens, etc for the use of the single parents at a minimal cost... we will have long term residence/parents who are will run the project... The idea is to provide a safe loving space for single parents who are having a rough time in the "real world"... and to train them in the skills nessassary to fufill there roles as parents while providing a loving spiritual community to nurish all of us... And when space is needed for a new parent to arive, we will ask the most ready to leave parent, with love, to leave... we cannot provide space for all forever, but we can provide space for many to take refuge and gain the strength and skills to move forward in the world...

We are also still holding the vision for a yoga-dance-permaculture retreat center to provide education-liberation-sustanace for our community, and our guests...

So if any of this is calling you in any way, contact me, and come for a visit... I encourage all your input to any of this as well, preferably in person on the land...

sharing meditation experiences

I want to say thank you to all who participated in the meditation last night. My experience was so beautiful, and supercharged. Along with the celestial forces at hand, I felt so much energy from knowing that there were others out there doing the same thing. This is a really powerful gift we have at our use, and I think the idea of comig together more is a good one, and needed. One person created a tribe specific to mass meditations. It's under critical mass meditations, you can find it in my profile if you need to. I would like to share my experience with you, and I hope to hear of your experiences as well.

It was dark, and I was in a pond in nature, a wooded area. I was half naked, and standing half in and half out. The water was the color of the Earth, greens and blues, and I was combing through the water with my fingers, and the colors were swirling. It was soft, and pure. As I was feeling the Earth water, I could sense that some parts of it were more dense, globular, and gooey. I started to gather this goop from the water, it was spread all around. I gathered it all and lifted it out of the water and held it up to my head. It was a mass of dark, tar-like goo. I projected into it love and light energy, and I said prayers to it, and thanked it for being in the Earth, for the lessons that it had taught us. But I told it that we learned all we could from it, and that we were ready to move past what it could give to us. So I put energy into it to transmute the dark into light to be used for love. After a little while the mass began to move and writhe around as if something were inside of it. Soon it cracked, and a colorful little butterfly came out and sat there for a moment. Then another, and another. Then the mass was covered by these colorful butterflies, and they took off together in a swoosh and circled around me. I thanked them for the change that they went through, and sent them off to spread around the Earth.

Thank you again for participating, or even just being in the same mind frame of wanting to be apart of making positive changes of peace to this world. I look forwards to keeping this connection to all of you. So much Love to you.

We know that our minds are very powerful, well let's start using them to bring about the positive changes neccessary in our world. Ya interested?? That way our vibes that we are putting out will be assisted by the pull of the sun into darkness. Any ideas of how to enhance ones practice is welcome and should be shared by all. Update on the HOME project, Feb 06

Namaste, Well things at the HOME project are moving along on the physical demention faster than they have for the rest of the lands exestence, due to the funding that has manifested to put in a road on Finca Baru and other bulldozing work... there is also funding here for a good ammount of infastructure... which is needed because there are quite a few people comming threw for various lengths of time and we need more space between ourselves... We are learning to work better with eachother in relation to each of our own desires and needs... But honestly i must say, that people with strong ambitions, opinions, desires and energy can create a lot of turmoil... Now this turmoil can bring us all closer together if we choose to take the time to process it with Non-Violent Communication, and is thus a blessing... But what has been happinng somtimes is that we choos the eaiser route and seperate ourselves from the opiniated ambitious to allow themselves to do their thing away from our space... and this is not the best way to raise up a project called Heaven On Mother Earth... We do now have all the tools to process this stuff, and we all want to take the time to work together, even if that means that no work gets done... So we are doing Great... We have agreed as a community that it is not important what we do on this physical demention,,, it is HOW We DO IT!!! so we take this as our focus for the next couple of months and God Willing we shall Prosper on All levels.... Thus all the parts of me beyond, the sence that I Am, or I Exist must be illusion, changing all the time... My body, mind, emotions, opinions, desires, fears, imiganition and all that changes is not who I AM...

I am the witness of these changes... the field of Awarness in which all these changes occur... beyond being affected by these changes, there is all prevading sence of Peace, Joy and Bliss...

When you experience anything but this Peace it is a telltale sign that you have mistaken yourself for your personality and desires, rather than your true identity...

Why Are We Here ?

OK so when realize who we are , not identifying ourselves as what WE ARE to our physical bodies , lower false mindmade desires , emotions ,etc (everything in the physical . emotional , and mental plane that is constantly changing).... but as all the light of love and vessel of THE uLTIMATE AND MOST HIGH , the Creator , one consciousness as we say recognizing ourselves as humans everchanging forms .

so for what ? what is the purpose ? are we here to just observe ?

I feel the purpose is to BE , yes not attatching my identity to those parts which are illusion and everchanging .

even tho it is as simple as that to be a HUMAN BEING . human as minerals and liquids of Earth , and also a Being .To BE . freeing your mind and lower desire helps to BE .

The Kundalini energy rests in our physical bodies at the base of our spine . As we become more evolved spiritually this energy vibration is raised into our higher chakra energies . This helps us become more aware of this everchanging energy that we are , and also witnessing , and brings us up as a more evolved SPIRITUAL BEING .

So even our BEINGis everchanging as we progress with the LIGHT .

Isn't that we are all doing ? but constantly changing in physical emotional bodies until we reach the Ultimate fufillment without attatchment to these things and free from desire ?

to ascend higher and higher .

YOu know I really LoVe earth and being human ... helping those on the path to freedom and spiritual evolvement , helping children evolve and ascend quicker and more naturally , being the LoVe , all which are my true desires toward ascension .

Maybe when its my last breathe into ascension from the physical body i can through the true desire of creation be born again here on earth and stay here for a while to help us all out physically as i do now .

Of course I have some polishing up to do , some karma to deal and some Love to spread as we all do....

Maybe I will have wings and kiss babies and play with children , help those that are feeling there is no hope . Free the souls form suffering , touch them with my light and heal them with just a glimpse through my eyes...

Maybe I have wings now , I am here now and this healing is attainable as we all have the true power to be the HealingLoVe without having to pass a last breathe into the light of ascension , even herenow....

I have some friends and lovers heading down there, may leave Louisiana tomorrow morning. I told them about you, and hope to hear they visit.

I recieved a vision a few years ago, about creating Heaven on Earth, communties being a part of that, all of us (who choose) awakening to Christ Consciousness, r-evolution, etc etc. Its exciting to see proof of this vision in communties such as yours! I hope to make it there someday, in the mean time i'm living in a community in the US, www.twinoaks.org, and planning to do an internship at a spiritual community in Colorado (www.sunriseranch.org) which has a similar goal of creating heaven on earth, they've been around for 60 + years.

Namaste' (this is a letter i wrote to a woman questioning about veganism and violence being a priority in community)

Violence, Diet, Self and Heaven

We are still a new, forming community... though the land has been here for a long time being held for the right people come along and fufill the highest vision...
I have 8 workers who eat meat, and these workers are more than just workers, they are part of the community... during the last three months I have been the only non-costa rican living on the land, planting trees during the rainy season... the other community members are making money in the states so they can bring $$ to contribute... My community has been these workers... I am not about to say that these people who work for me are not a part of the community, twas I who moved into their community with my visions and money and now provide good jobs... I would love to educate them and provide oppertunities to try different foods. But its sensitive, i have a good history from learning from my mistakes... and I have learned the hard way. whenever i try to change somebody, i have an idea in my head that i 'know' something that they 'need', to be 'better', 'healthier' or 'whatever', for a better world or some egoic ideas... and this idea that i 'know' whats better for someone in itself is violence... Because its not love... Love is total accptence and surrender to the will of spirit, good bad and ugly... And although i would love for all beings to live in perfict harmony with the earth, death is a part of life... everytime i go on a walk in the jungle, hundreds of bugs have to die... Is that concerderd violence? or is it more a part of the cycle of life and death? And thus Natural?

I aspire to non-violence in thought and action... I do not need to kill animals to nourish my body, and i do not need to think there is somthing 'wrong' with you if you do...

I can teach about healty lifestyle and diet, a well as healty psychology...
But shall not rest my happieness on converting the world to my ideas, openions or religon...

Desirelessness, the only prerequsite to live in the Heaven within...
try it for some time... let go of all you want, even just as an experiment... then share your experience here...

Earth Changes

Joyus, or others who would like to respond:

Having talked some with EmptyCloud about coming Earth Changes, and gotten an email from another Costa Rican Community that said they just had their infrastructure wiped out by Hurricane Stan, I am wondering about the safety of living in Costa Rica. Do you feel that the HOME land is situated in a safe area? Do you believe that the Earth CHanges and 2012 prophesies about such changes will come to pass - and if so, do you think Costa Rica will be a safe haven - do you have any plans to prepare for such changes?

current status of the HOME farm community aug 2005

Benji and Joyus are the only full timers living on the farm wich is the best farmland we own... it is a southern facing side of a valley with a river at the bottom... at the edge of our property there is the over 200 foot waterfall "Nayaka"... It is something that has to be seen to believe... our farm is about 60 acres and is getting a new road system put in... ther is currently funding avalable to really get this farm going and will pay for all the infastructure, trees, labor and all that juicy stuff... we feel that the western world is on the verge of collapse (even if that dosent happen for 30 years its still soon) and are doing all we can to invest in things that will sustain Gods children who make it HOME... our founder and inspiration Jon baught this land and all the rest of this land because he was guided by Spirit to do so... and refuses to sell it because there is such a high potiential for Heaven that no ammount of money could buy him out... and he wants to give it to all of gods children... US... so we come along with the skills and money we have and not by chance the same vision he has been holding and deside to put our money and service into this project as a gift to the future of mankind...
We will soon have infastructure to accomadate travelers and seekers comfortably with a kitchen and compost shitter... Gardens will follow when we get more hands to help... we do not yet have a trust but will soon... we have no rules because so far we all work so effortlesly and selflessly that it all just happens threw us... but as more people arive we probably will and will update those things...

keep asking questions and call us if you want to get some support in leaving behind life in the US.

Costa Rican communities

We have a group here in Costa Rica, starting a community with a very different philosophy from yours. Our community, Gaiasana, is in the financing stage, is aimed at having some 100 families, dedicated to reconstructing native forest (as opposed to mere ‘reforestation'.), will be ‘high tech' rather than primitive. We are aiming at being neutral as to diet and spirituality, permitting just about anything in these areas but not orientated toward any particular one.

Some times we discuss things in the tropicalic.tribe.net net and all are welcome there too. We are in the hills near Puriscal from 500 to 1,000 meters above sea level and in the future could well produce organic food items that need a higher elevation in exchange for items you are producing down near the beach.

The other communities that I know off and that are active here in Costa Rica are the ecovillage at Punta Mona on the Caribbean Coast and Durika, East of Buenos Aires in the foot hills of the Talamanca Range. I have visited the later one.

This project is exremely close to visions I've had for a long time. I am a permaculturist, musician, and spiritual type that has no doubt that the signals are in front of us.

I will be watching this project with special interest and I am very very keen on networking between the many similar communities and projects while the infrastructure still exists to do so - that we may all learn and share the unity of vision coming to light.

I am not necessarily planning to come to Central America specifically, but there is much happening there that I wish to keep a close eye on. I have other contacts in the region. I am working with a group to try to stop the development of a place in Panama called the redfrogbeachclub at Bocas Del Toro on the East Coast of Panama. It was a sustainable project doing permaculture and yoga and got sold out. They now plan 1000 buildings and golf course there. If anyone has any useful contacts then please investigate to plug into that.

With all that said- keep up the networking and I hope sincerely that this community (HOME) can be a good example of sustainable development in a community setting. If the community is in need of members with specific skills and such I hope to be of help if I can, this seems to have been part of my role in this time - to help network and funnel light places it can flourish and grow to root it here increasingly.

ok enough for now. I get excited sometimes =)
